DEBUT ALBUM ON VINYL FOR THE FIRST TIME
OUT 16 SEPTEMBER 2022 ON MUTE
PRE-ORDER HERE
Polly Scattergood has announced details of a reissue of her self-titled debut album. Available on vinyl for the first time, the album is released on 16 September 2022 as a limited edition double pink sparkle vinyl with exclusive lyric etching and two additional tracks, ‘Crystal Breaks’ and ‘Number 24’.
Polly Scattergood had begun to garner attention and acclaim in 2007 with the dreamlike single ‘Nitrogen Pink’, described by the Guardian as “…just fantastic” and by NME as “massive”, and in 2008 with ‘I Hate The Way’ (both feature on the album) before her debut album arrived on Mute in the spring of 2009.
On her debut album, which also features the singles ‘Other Too Endless’, ‘Please Don’t Touch’ and ‘Bunny Club’, Polly conjured up a looking glass world where nothing is quite how it first appears to be. Produced by labelmate Simon Fisher Turner, the influential producer, engineer and artist Gareth Jones (Sunroof, Liars, Depeche Mode and Apparat) and Mute’s founder Daniel Miller, the album introduced the world to her brilliantly unsettling pop sensibilities.
Polly Scattergood is reissued on Double Pink Sparkle Vinyl with Exclusive Lyric Etching, as a limited edition of 1000, on 16th September.
