New Single ‘Brats’, Free Download & Vinyl Reissues

Liars announce details of remixes on their forthcoming single, ‘Brats’, out on 12″ and download on 15 October 2012 and the reissue of their first three albums on vinyl.

The 12” and download includes remixes from Cadence Weapon, Vessel and David Scott Stone. Recently on tour with Liars in the US and shortlisted for the prestigious Polaris Music Prize, Cadence Weapon’s remix credits include Lil’ Wayne and Lady Sovereign. Vessel, who supported the band on their recent run of dates that included a riotous sold out XOYO, reviewed here: http://bit.ly/MBcT9x, releases his debut album on Tri Angle this month, and David Scott Stone (LCD Sound System, No Age, Merzbow) has previously recorded with, toured with and remixed The Melvins.

Liars –  also announce details of the re-release of three of their albums on vinyl. The band’s first three albums, They Threw Us In A Trench & Put A Monument On Top, They Were Wrong, So We Drowned and Drum’s Not Dead are reissued on 180g vinyl and a limited edition 7” featuring unreleased live recordings of ‘WIXIW’ and ‘Pillars Were Hollow And Filled With Candy So We Tore Them Down’ is available free, while stocks last, when you purchase from the band’s official shop: www.liarsliarsliars.com.

‘Brats’, one of the stand-out tracks from recent live shows, was described by Loud & Quiet as “a dose of droning industrial atmospherics against a buzzsaw beat that just won’t quit” while Artrocker said it “…takes the DFA disco groove into starlit psychedelia”.

Supporting Liars on the forthcoming UK and European tour Liars will be The Haxan Cloak. The dates include the Scala in London on 16 October (full details below).
