Mute and Spoon Records will release the limited coloured vinyl editions of Delay 1968 and Future Days on 30 April 2021.
Delay 1968 – which documents the band’s very early recordings with vocalist Malcolm Mooney, will be available on shocking pink vinyl, while Future Days, the band’s 1973 four-track album, their last with Damo Suzuki on vocals, will be available on gold vinyl.
These limited edition releases precede the first in a series of long awaited live album releases, Can: Live in Stuttgart 1975 – out on vinyl, CD and digitally on 28 May 2021.
The new album documents, in five parts, Can: Live in Stuttgart 1975, demonstrating an important and formidable element of the Can story: their live performance.
Listen to an excerpt here:
Founded in the late ‘60s and disbanded just over a decade later, Can’s unprecedented and bold marriage of hypnotic grooves and avant-garde instrumental textures has made them one of the most important and innovative of all time. Their influence on generations of artists and their indelible mark across literature, art and film continues to this day.
