K Á R Y Y N + YOUNG PAINT SHARE ‘TILT’

Multi-disciplinary artist, producer and vocalist K Á R Y Y N  shares a collaboration with Young Paint, an AI designed and programmed by producer Darren J Cunningham.

Developed by Darren Cunningham with Goldsmiths’ Digital Department, Young Paint is a graphical interface and artificial intelligence designed for both musical analysis and performance. TILT is the result of a collaborative writing session between Cunningham, Young Paint and recording artist K Á R Y Y N, a single that blends harsh digital haze with soft vocals.

About to release her debut album THE QUANTA SERIES, Syrian-Armenian-American artist K Á R Y Y N makes experimental electronic music inspired by her familial legacy, grief and observations on human interaction. Recorded over a nomadic seven-year journey across continents in search of healing and inspiration, the album will be released on 29 March via Mute.

K Á R Y Y N is also about to embark on labelmate Apparat’s European tour, beginning in April, while both K Á R Y Y N and Young Paint are scheduled to appear at Sonar Festival in Barcelona this summer.
